About The Drummonds

George Drummond with his great friend the then Duke of York, later the King Edward 7th at the races in Bridgetown Circa 1930.

The Drummond

The creation by George Drummond senior is a Barbados Rum based drink which includes bitters, lime and Barbados raw honey. It serves well poured over ice with nothing else needed.

George Drummond, owner of Drummonds Bank and later Chairman of the Royal Bank of Scotland lived at Buckden St Joseph, a Georgian Bajan Plantation House (sadly no longer in existence).

He played cricket from a young age with local players in Barbados and was a great promoter of the local enterprise and the Bajan people.
